Point Arena California

Posted on December 2, 2021 by Rick Posted in Scenery, Sightseeing .

Point Arena California, more specifically, the coastline near the Point Arena Lighthouse was gorgeous. We had heard that it was referred to as Sea Lion Cove and we had to check it out.

Did we find any sea lions? Come with us as we look around.

This is part of our Season 3 Part 2 and was filmed in the second half of 2019.

One-Log House

Posted on November 18, 2021 by Rick Posted in Sightseeing .

The One-Log House was carved out of a single redwood tree. The One-Log House is equipped with a small kitchen/dining room, bathroom, and beds. Was this the start of the tiny home movement?

The One-Log House is still sitting on a trailer frame nd therefore, can technically still be moved. However, this is unlikely since the bark has loosened up and had to be banded in some spots.

The One-Log House is worth the stop since it is just a bit south of the Avenue of the Giants. See our last video.

We also took a short hike near the northern entrance and the girls found some vines to swing from… Tarzan style.

Come with us to see these magnificent giant trees.
