Tower Falls – Yellowstone National Park

Posted on August 29, 2019 by Kaylla Posted in RV Living, Scenery, Sightseeing .

Today we visited Tower Falls, Yellowstone National Park. It is kinda north of the lake, I do recommend visiting the Tower Falls. As you see, Dad is very thirsty and wanted a drink of the nice water from the falls.

Drive Through New York City

Posted on August 26, 2019 by Kaylla Posted in Sightseeing .

Today we did a Drive Through NYC.

We took the subway through New York City and to the the 9/11 Memorial. I liked reading the names of the people that died in the Twin Towers!

We saw lots of murals and tall buildings. There was one building we couldn’t see the top!
I also liked just walking around looking at the big buildings and all of the painted walls.

We also went to all 5 boroughs which I have to say was cool.

I think it is funny how the one day we planned to go to New York City it rained on us!

We wish we could have found parking so we could walk though Time Square!

We also went to the Trinity Church in New York City.

West Thumb – Yellowstone National Park

Posted on August 22, 2019 by Kaylla Posted in RV Living, Scenery, Sightseeing .

Today we visited the West Thumb in Yellowstone National Park.

This is located in the lower area of Yellowstone. The geysers put off a lot of heat, it kinda feels like you are in a sauna. The walk around these geysers was not very long.

Mom didn’t go on this walk because we didn’t know if we could get the wheelchair through the boardwalk.

It was really cool how some of the geysers we’re kinda erupting.

It is funny how everyone was looking at one and another one across from it got jealous and boiled a bunch. We met a group of people that told us that one of the geysers is 53 feet deep.

The lake was very very pretty.

It was cool how there was one geyser with hot water coming out right next to the cold water lake.

The water that the girls and I touched was cold and it was from some of the geysers. The reason that it was cold is because it was going through a little stream which cooled the water off.

Surviving North Padre Island

Posted on August 12, 2019 by Amber Posted in Boondocking, RV Living, Sightseeing .

We

We are staying at North Padre Island in Texas! We came down here for Christmas and the girls visited some family, while we relaxed! We had a excellent time and really enjoyed it!

There were lots of birds along the beach and many were flying in circles.

We even saw a Coast Guard plane fly along the coast.

The wind was blowing so hard that we were nearly stuck in the drifts.

Lackawanna Coal Mine

Posted on July 15, 2019 by Amber Posted in Sightseeing .

Today, we are touring a coal mine that has been closed since 1966! We were several hundred feet UNDERNEATH the ground! The coal mine was cold and wet! The mine still had some coal in it, but it wasn’t able to extracted anymore. There were tons of cool things to learn and see in the mine. Not handicap friendly unfortunately since we had to take a tram like vehicle down the old cart tracks and the tunnels are kinda narrow. We enjoyed it very much!

Riding the Staten Island Ferry

Posted on June 27, 2019 by Amber Posted in Sightseeing .

Of of all the ferries we’ve taken, this is my most favorite! We rode right past the Statue of Liberty! It was cold and rainy but we made the best of it! It was pretty cool and I recommend this place to all of those who visit New York!

Visiting Lake Ontario

Posted on June 24, 2019 by Amber Posted in Sightseeing .

Today we are visiting the second great lake, Lake Ontario. The water was cold-ish but bearable. The water was also super clear! We enjoyed making rock towers and Amber found her throne. Its great for family to visit but not very handicap accessible. Its great to visit on a warm day and you can swim in the lake. It has a little beach area around the lake, but in some spots its very rocky. Now join us on this adventure.
