This spot is a favorite of many members of our family and it is referred to as Freeze Out. It is a very beautiful spot and the drive to it is wonderful.
When you google Freeze Out Point, Google Maps returns a location a few dozen miles to the north. I have provided information below to locate this exact spot. This is one of those places that takes you more than 2 hours to go 18 miles one way. A high clearance vehicle is needed and a 4 wheel drive is recommended.

This is a great place to to boondock (a.k.a. dry camp or dispersed camp) just outside of the north entrance of the Badlands National Park. The views are great, just as if you were in the national park itself.

Welcome to the world famous Wall Drug store in South Dakota.
There are signs along the highways for hundreds of miles advertising free water and 25 cent coffee at Wall Drug. We even saw a sign in the middle of nowhere over 1000 miles away. I think regular people put up the signs for fun. Supposedly, there are signs in many countries around the world.
The story begins with a failing drug store in a small town. The owner’s wife came up with the idea to offer free ice water. The owner and his sin made signs and left to put them along the highway. By the time they got back home, thirsty travelers were already stopping for the free ice water. This later expanded to include 25 cent coffee. They still offer both today.
Wall, South Dakota is a short distance from the north side of Badlands National Park. Wall Drug now consists of several city blocks. They even have a parking area dedicated to about 25 or 30 RVs.

Join us as we visit bears up close. They are obviously not wild, but the Oswald Bear Ranch is a rescue location for bears.
Dad had a baby bear try to climb his leg when we were getting pictures with the baby bear. Of course, the workers had our camera and did not capture that part. So sad.

Today, we cross the Mackinac Bridge from lower Michigan to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The Mackinac Bridge is a narrow 4 lane bridge and had construction in 2 different places just on the northbound side. Oh, and by the way, it is a toll bridge but it was not major expensive.

Welcome to the North Cascades National Park. As we said like 80 times in the video, this is the most beautiful place we have been to in 2019. There is so much to do from hiking to site seeing. This place is so cool and beautiful Mom said its almost enchanted. We were going to be there for a couple days but we ending up staying like 2 and a half weeks.

Welcome to Cheboygan Lock and Dam. I didn’t go to this place but I watched the video and it was cool. The guy that got in the water brought up a fish that looked like a small catfish. The top of his flippers were hard and the bottoms were flimsy. Then Dad and Elizabeth went down the “magical” path and found something that lets boats in and then out. The process to do this is kind of interesting. So you have to pull into a little “boat trap”, then you have to let the water down about 17 feet, then they open the doors and let you out. Even though I didn’t go to this place it was pretty cool to watch. Bye y’all.
I see trees, I see you, I see waterfalls different shades of blue. We hiked part way up one of the waterfalls, I honestly loved doing that. Hiking is one of my favorite things to do. Some of these waterfalls weren’t there before it started raining.
