Craggy Wash BLM Free Camping Review

Posted on June 23, 2021 by Rick Posted in Boondocking .

We spend a lot of time camping in the middle of nowhere. This type of camping with no hookups is referred to as boondocking.

In the western United States, there is a lot of public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). You can stay on most BLM land for free for 14 days. After 14 days, you usually only need to move 25 miles away and stay there for 14 days. Check with the local office or rangers for specific rules for the area.

Craggy Wash is one location that we heard a lot about. Craggy Wash requires that you are at least one mile away from the highway probably because it is located so close to the town of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Lake Havasu City is where the original London Bridge was reassembled.

Craggy Wash was not really anything special when compared to other BLM land but we really liked it. Of course, we have liked all of the places that we have boondocked.

Week In Review (Season 3 Week 23)

Posted on December 10, 2019 by Kaylla Posted in Boondocking, RV Living, Sightseeing .

This week was FUN.

First, we stayed at Craggy Wash BLM camping spot, so we could go to the London Bridge. The London Bridge is located in Lake Havasu City. Dad, Amber, and I (Kaylla) walked all the way to the other side and back. Amber and I got our certificate that says we crossed the bridge and made it back. I am so happy that we went to this place and I will never forget.

Next stop was Oatman, AKA Donkey Village. This place is “flooded” with donkeys. There is a lot of history everywhere in this “town” and we love history. You can feed the adult donkeys but you can not feed the baby donkeys. They do gun fights on some days, I forgot what days but they do them. They have many shops like ice cream, souvenirs, even old fashioned ones.

Thank you for coming with us on this trip.
