While we were in the Salt Lake City area, we met with one of Mom’s friends at the Gardner Village Shopping Mall. The friend had printed scavenger hunt forms (from Gardner Village’s website) for each of the kids. It was fun trying to find the answers. Each completed scavenger hunt form could be turned in for a free piece of salt water taffy. It was delicious.
This is part of our Season 3 Part 2 and was filmed in the second half of 2019.

We were lucky to find this great spot to boondock. Although it is technically a campground, there were no hookups of any kind. There was not a trash can anywhere. Truly a place to PACK IT IN – PACK IT OUT.
We were on the end near the bridge which had a great spot to get into the cold water in August. Mom’s leg was still in bad shape and she did not go down to the water.
We had no cell signal here but was able to pick up a usable signal with our weBoost 4G Signal Booster. We highly recommend using one of these if staying connected is important to you. Here is link to Amazon where you can get one.

Newton Creek Campground is located in the Shoshone Nation Forest and was a great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park especially when you can’t get into a campground in Yellowstone due to capacity or RV size.
This campground is about 15 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park and 37 miles from Cody, Wyoming. The campground was very empty during the week but filled up on the weekend.
The campground is a very relaxing place nestled along the North Fork Shoshone River. It has a few access point to the river where the water is not very deep and is safe to play.
