We got to experience one of the better Pizza Ranch restaurant today in Casper, Wyoming. We visited a few in Iowa several years back We also checked out the one in Billings, Montana about 5 years ago when my Dad passed away.
I think my favorite is the one in Casper partly because it has a nice game room. I do not recall if the one in billings did or not but the ones in Iowa definitely did not have games rooms and they were a lot smaller place.
Their basic idea is an all-you-can-eat buffet that includes pizza, fried chicken with side items, salad, and dessert. What’s not to love?

We show you today how we change the oil and filter on our 2014 Polaris Sportsman 550 Touring EFS.
We encountered problems with the original filter being a little bigger than the new one. We purchased an oil filter wrench specifically for this and it was too small. Apparently, the original oil filter was made by Subaru and was slightly larger. We show you how we got past this issue.

Paint Rock Lakes were one of my Dad’s favorite places and I had never been (at least not that I can remember).
The lakes are at a super high elevation and you can hear that in the video when I am trying to breath. This hike was not that long but we are not used to the elevation.
Lower Paint Rock Lake is out in the open in a field while Upper Paint Rock Lake is nestled in the trees and rocks. Can you guess which one we prefer?

Upper Paint Rock Lake Wyoming 82834

Today, we are taking the long and bumpy ride to the Paint Rock Lakes. Paint Rock Lakes were one of my Dad’s favorite places and I had never been (at least not that I can remember).
The lakes are at a super high elevation and we had about a 30 degree temperature drop before we got to them. We made this drive on July 9, 2019 and you can see in the video the we are visited by snow/sleet.
We spent some time driving very slowly since some of the roads were terrible. There was even a sign that warned about hazardous roads. It took us most of the day to drive approximately 65 to 70 miles. But, we did see some gorgeous countryside and a few wild animals including deer and moose. We saw very few people.

Our home-base is in an area of Texas that does not normally get any snow. Well, on January 10, 2021, we got over 4 inches. We were able to go sledding on some of the hills on the ranch. Then, we all had fun getting a little crazy on the ATVs (4wheelers or quads).
In this video, my steer Eli and I get to attend the Heart O’ Texas Fair and Rodeo. Heart O’ Texas and the Texas State Fair came together this year to provide more shows for the kids since the State Fair of Texas was cancelled. Due to COVID-19, most places had cancelled or chose not have as many shows.
Eli and I participated in the Heart O’ Texas Junior Market Steer show, The United (the united was the name of the State Fair and HOT Fair show combined) Showmanship Show, and The United Prospect Steer Show. We did not place in any of the shows. He was the smallest and youngest animal in the two steer shows. In the showmanship show, there was just too many contestants.
All in all, we had fun and gained a lot of knowledge for what to do next time.
