REVIEW Newton Creek Campground near Yellowstone

Posted on February 24, 2021 by Rick Posted in Boondocking, Campgrounds .

Newton Creek Campground is located in the Shoshone Nation Forest and was a great place to stay while visiting Yellowstone National Park especially when you can’t get into a campground in Yellowstone due to capacity or RV size.

This campground is about 15 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park and 37 miles from Cody, Wyoming. The campground was very empty during the week but filled up on the weekend.

The campground is a very relaxing place nestled along the North Fork Shoshone River. It has a few access point to the river where the water is not very deep and is safe to play.

Southern Loop – Yellowstone National Park

Posted on October 31, 2019 by Amber Posted in RV Living, Scenery, Sightseeing .

Today we are visiting the Yellow Stone National Park Southern Loop. This loop contains Old Faithful, Gibbon Falls and other cool things. The southern loop is probably my favorite part of Yellowstone. It has a lot of waterfalls and trails as well. It is very beautiful like the rest of the park.

Tower Falls – Yellowstone National Park

Posted on August 29, 2019 by Kaylla Posted in RV Living, Scenery, Sightseeing .

Today we visited Tower Falls, Yellowstone National Park. It is kinda north of the lake, I do recommend visiting the Tower Falls. As you see, Dad is very thirsty and wanted a drink of the nice water from the falls.

West Thumb – Yellowstone National Park

Posted on August 22, 2019 by Kaylla Posted in RV Living, Scenery, Sightseeing .

Today we visited the West Thumb in Yellowstone National Park.

This is located in the lower area of Yellowstone. The geysers put off a lot of heat, it kinda feels like you are in a sauna. The walk around these geysers was not very long.

Mom didn’t go on this walk because we didn’t know if we could get the wheelchair through the boardwalk.

It was really cool how some of the geysers we’re kinda erupting.

It is funny how everyone was looking at one and another one across from it got jealous and boiled a bunch. We met a group of people that told us that one of the geysers is 53 feet deep.

The lake was very very pretty.

It was cool how there was one geyser with hot water coming out right next to the cold water lake.

The water that the girls and I touched was cold and it was from some of the geysers. The reason that it was cold is because it was going through a little stream which cooled the water off.
